We write a line that sounds so sad.
Reversing it to make you feel glad.
We'll tell you how love is so great.
Written by the lonely without a date.
Our catchy lines are just a start.
A few lines to grab at your heart.
Your eyes travel with golden tears.
When we tell you of my hidden fears.
Our words are not written in stone.
For our words never had a home.
Our words relate to things we know.
With a single line a feeling can grow.
We're humble and hidden from view.
Bareing our souls in poems for you.
We sit and stare off into space.
Crying inside with a smiling face.
Some say we're special, I think not.
For our words often miss the spot.
Our vision is good, our aim poor.
We dance with stars and trip on a floor.
For I am only as good as you think.
A half empty glass from which you drink.
I write my poems just for me.
I write them down for all to see.
