Drunk on Root Beer

Typing out words that rhyme
I do that some of the time.
Drinking beer made from the root.
And I tell you it's really a hoot.

Wish I could type like he's playing.
Holy cow what am I saying?
Wouldn't that be just fine.
Typing in rhyming piano divine.

B sharp and G flat.
Can you imagine that.
G major and A minor
Oh what could be finer.

Dancing across the keys.
Rhyming words with ease.
And pardon me please, won't you
If I sneeze. Accccchooooo!

Happiness is a song to share.
Loving is for those who dare.
Poetry is for the mellow.
Yes I mean that Longfellow.

Random rhymes without a thought.
Went to school and was taught.
That poetry should have rhyme.
Will at least most of the time.

Oh yes I was also was told.
Breaking the rules is bold.
Change the measure and the meter.
Make a line for Derek Jeter.

What the heck this poems a wreck.
Wrap a rope around my neck.
And dang that's a big old tree.
OK so don't weep for me.

Running these rhymes through my mind.
Thinking so fast and typing blind.
Write what I think and think I'm right.
My keyboard is burning tonight.

Just where I am going I don't know.
Hopefully there is no snow.
Hot time summer in the city
Now there's a cool ditty.

Dancing on the keys or the floor.
Perhaps dancing on the sea shore.
I am dancing and having fun.
We can dance the nest slow one.

Since the beginning there is no end.
Just happy to share this my friend.
Dance and like there's not a care.
Tom Cruise did it in his underwear.

Enjoy your life and have some fun.
Poetry is not for everyone.
Now to end this babbling I suppose.
I should mention I have a big nose.

Have fun, enjoy life, know you are blessed, God loves you!
