Love in the Park

Four birds in the park walking.
Two couples on the bench talking.
One couple young the other is old.
That's how love can be I'm told.

A squirrel jumping from the tree.
Just showing off that he's free.
Children are playing on the slide.
Father and son a horseyback ride.

I dream about this thing called love.
It does warm my heart like a glove.
It embraces and it does soothe.
It makes the rocky road so smooth.

Pass English Class

My English teacher told me to write.
So here I sit uninspired tonight.
What to write I haven't a clue.
I keep thinking of something else to do.

I have to write a poem just to pass.
I silly rule for an English class.
Need twelve lines with inspiration.
As worry does increase the perspiration.

Now need four lines to complete this.
Maybe I should end it with a twist.
The inspiration for the poem is this.
I had to do it. You get the gist?

Because I have to

An apology I must state.
About my poetry of late.
Was told about my attitude.
Please forgive me I was rude.

Was uninspired and wanting to pass.
The literary English class.
So now that the apology is done.
I will say this poem is also done.

Beyond Heaven's Gate

I love you dear you are my light.
I love you dear I kiss you goodnight
I love you and you do love me.
We have a love that sets us free.

I love you dear and goodnight
I kiss you softly and hold you tight.
I love you dear for the rest of my life.
I love you dear you enlighten my life.

I love you so much that I had to write
I love you my inspirational light.
I love you and remember this.
Tonight it is sealed with a kiss.

Hold me close as I too will hold.
Together our love will never grow old.
This kiss has sealed our love's fate.
We'll love each other beyond heaven's gate

Love on the music box we dance.
You inspire the hidden romance.
We can dance forever and beyond.
Dance until heaven's golden pond.

I look forward to many happy years.
An enchanted life with few tears.
Happy in love and forever we will share.
The happiness knowing we both care.

Though we are both in our teens.
We can still dream of love scenes.
Grow older and wiser is our dream.
Floating together on love's stream.

Hold me close as I too will hold.
Together our love will never grow old.
This kiss has sealed our love's fate.
We'll love each other beyond heaven's gate

These poems were written between 1969 and 1973 by me.
I hope you enjoyed them as much as I have enjoyed
reading them again.
Please take the time
won't cost a dime.
It's pleasure of mine
To have you sign.
