I would hate to say it,
but our friendship just can't last.
The wonderful times we shared together,
have faded to the past.
I told you it would happen,
that our friendship was bound to end.
Although I know you care,
I cannot consider you as a friend.
Please don't try to argue,
just try to understand.
That time can change people,
as the tide can change the sand.
Our friendship has been lovely,
but you see it has an end.
For now I fell in a different way,
I've fallen in love with you my friend.

My Love & My Friend
I too have the something to say.
Our dreams will forever be ours.
You told me it would happen,
Please don't try to argue,
My Darling I'll express it this way.

We all know how we become close by knowing and talking to each
other and some of us grow closer to others and become more then
friends..This is for those out there who have found someone on line.

Our friendship didn't go away.
It has evolved into wonderful thing.
A warmth that makes our hearts sing.
On sunny days and through the rain showers.
Both helping to each other grew these flowers.
Our Heaven on earth, showing love's powers.
That our friendship was bound to end.
But when life burdens me that is when,
I'll always consider you as a friend.
My darling I do understand.
You're a friend that is true.
as the tide that changes the sand.
Our friendship will never have an end.
For now I fell in a different way,
I've fallen in love with you my friend.

Just a note here, about Becca and myself.
We have never met in person.
We met on the net in 1999.
She wrote her poem to another and her poem inspired a dream.
My poem My Love & My Friend was written as a dream.
She is a very inspired poet and her poem Friends
is beautiful. I replied with my poem to show
that friendship and love can go hand in hand.
We are close friends because of our love of poetry.
I hope you enjoy both poems as much as I do.
