Once Is Okay

I'll forever remember this.
You were the one I was with.
Before I got kicked again.
Why did that happen my friend?

I do nothing that was wrong.
I merely was singing my song.
But then she came walking in.
My heart melt from within.

What I do remember is this.
The tenderness of her kiss.
The charm glowed like fire.
I sensed passion and desire.

But things weren't to be.
Lookie here and you'll see.
That kiss was just a kiss.
Just another one to miss.

I've been up before and down.
I can turn this frown around.
I've done it before you know.
Happens when my feelings show.

Too hurt me once is okay
Hurt me twice some would say.
I lack the frimness in my mind.
For I am just a giving kind.

I'll walk away holding my tail.
For I have never been for sale.
Your price is just a bit too high.
For love is something I wont buy.

I'll find the person that I need.
And in them I'll plant a love seed.
We'll nurture it the best we can.
Together as a woman and a man.
